Today, we are pleased to announce the launch of our new division, The Future Project.

The Future Project provides pro bono press and media guidance for those who suddenly find themselves in the public eye and have no recourse to help.

We support ordinary or vulnerable individuals and families facing sudden, intense media interest. They may not have the access to professional guidance, or the funds to pay for it. Others may be at risk of being overwhelmed, misrepresented or unknowingly exposed at moments of shock or grief.

The Future Project ensures they are not left to navigate that alone. We handle media interest sensitively and directly on behalf of those affected. We act as a point of contact for journalists, manage incoming requests, advise on statements, protect privacy and reduce pressure at a time when people are least able to cope.

Our aim is to minimise harm, preserve dignity and provide space to breathe while ensuring the media process does not compound trauma.

How do we choose which cases to support?

We take on cases where we can offer meaningful support during periods of shock, grief, or unfair treatment. We consider situations where national attention is creating undue pressure, or where vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals are in particular need.

This may include families placed in the spotlight due to tragedy or acts of criminality or terrorism, individuals facing severe financial or professional impact due to whistleblowing or unfair treatment, or those experiencing media intrusion following unprecedented events.

Our resources are not unlimited. We select cases carefully and provide support where we feel it can make a genuine difference.

We aim to defend and protect those experiencing the most difficult moments, with clear guidance, steady judgement, grace and compassion.

Do you take referrals?

We work closely with legal firms and welcome referrals from organisations operating within humanitarian and support sectors where media guidance may assist those in need.

How is The Future Project funded?

The Future Project is funded entirely through the reinvestment of profits from Future PR. No individual, family or organisation we support pays for advice.
